Small industrial town across the river from West Cowes, whose most notable feature is the huge Union Jack on the G.K.N. Hanger, and the ferry terminal. It has its own marina up the river and several local pubs. Osborne House, once the home of Queen Victoria is open to the public during the summer.

Osborne House was Queen Victoria’s favourite residence and this
large pub was built in 1850 as a hostel for her coachmen. It has a pleasant renovated
interior, with areas for kids and eating. Landlord picks his favourite from the
Enterprise portfolio and some guests. Extensive live music.
