On main Carisbrooke to Calbourne road, hard to miss. Historic farmers country pub near to start of Tennyson trail. Superb panoramic Solent views and ample kiddies play area. The pub is known locally as the "Betty 'Aunt", taking its name from Betty Haunt Lane where a local lass is rumoured to have lost her life for telling tales to excise men (actually means "between hunts"), and the pub itself is reputedly haunted.
