BINSTEAD

PUB PAGE

Originally a small village famous for the quality of its stone, sadly, now, effectively, a suburb of Ryde thanks to large housing estates. Turn towards the sea at the bottom of the High Street for a pleasant walk through the old part of the village, by the Fleming's old manor and the church, to Ryde in one direction, and via the ruins of the original Quarr Abbey to Fishbourne in the other.

Comfortable two bar village pub with attractive conservatory from the outside, but inside it is dining area and an extension to the lounge. Home cooked meals and snacks, full roast on Sundays, a large garden, patio and children’s play area. What would be traditionally called a public bar is now a games room. If going by car, don’t drive too fast, even though it’s on the main Ryde to Newport road it can be easily missed. Large car park at rear.
