Delightful country pub, over which, many battles have been fought. After
a public meeting, the planning application to turn the pub into a private
dwelling was refused. Now with new tenants, there are plans to build a dining
extension that will seat seventy-five and allow the pub to flourish into
the foreseeable future. Weekly specials include a musician's night on Wednesdays,
when all are welcome to join in the folk evenings and Fridays, which is
Curry night. Very pleasant garden, especially in the summer, when the borders
are alive with colour.
